Introduction
Laarvee is a designer watch brand where artistry and horology intersect. The brand is best known for its twisted dials and surreal storytelling. Laarvee has made its mark as a unique creative force in luxury designer mens watches. The timepiece you wear is more than a useful tool, it is a sculpture that everyone can personalize.
Steven Harrington is an artist and designer based in Los Angeles, California, who has made waves with his psychedelic pop sensibility and effervescent personality, Mello. Harrington’s work draws from California's unique culture. He combines vibrant colors, surreal symbols, and mindful messages into a captivating experience. Mello is characterized by his wavy form, childlike disposition, and comforting character that embodies curiosity, joy, and the subconscious.
The new PEA001 series is the next stage of wearable art from Laarvee and Harrington. Using the concept “Time to Stay Mello,” this timepiece uses the time telling apparatus to challenge our perception of time – fluid, expressive, and uniquely personal.

How Mello Got Into the Dial: A Story on Your Wrist
Mello, with his relaxed pose, wavy arms and beckoning gesture now features in the time telling tactile journey. On the PEA001 dial, Mello is perched around Laarvee's twisted bezel layout. Mello is not only an ornamental feature, but a symbol suspended in time. With the artistic treatment, the watch transforms into a moving story.
Harrington's installation at Frieze New York 2025 was a projection of this vision. Mello waved from behind hydraulic flowers on transparent monitors in partnership with LG OLED - a playful yet intimate experience. The PEA001 possesses this same quality, providing a way for Mello's energy to actually move down your arm. For fans of designer mens watches and quirky watches for men, this is not just a watch - it has become an emotional artifact in the moment it's created.
"Stop to Smell the Flowers"
This series was constructed to remind the viewer of the opportunities to be present and aware. Mello's act calls the viewer to stop and smell the flowers and to recognize and celebrate the small beauty in the ordinary.
With Mello's gentle distance, and the super abundant bright visual foliage, the work communicates that the awareness and appreciation of being in the now can take refuge in the smallest of details, and the most mundane orders of life. The soft tones of yellow work together to become warmth and peace; certainly following themes of mindful calm and introspection.
Stop to Smell the Flowers is not a visual artifact, it is a gentle whisper of encouragement and reminder that beauty does not need to be presented in larger than life ways, it only asks us to see it, and feel it, if only for a second we reflect on it.

Getting Away: A Retreat into Imagination
In a world that is constantly bombarding us with noise, and the insanity of daily life, “Getting Away” acts as a visual refuge - not a journey away from ourselves, but a place of escape where we have the possibility of deepening our imaginings.
The paintings of the “Getting Away” lend themselves to a theme of encouraging imagination and our digging into the unknown. The series is comprised of three stand-alone works. Each work has very rich scenes packed with figures exploding out of the universe, and gives the viewer an opportunity to partake in a creative adventure, and let their imagination run wild.
The force of the work is evident through the bold color choices and exploding compositions — the figures are bursting out of space, undermining both real and fictional boundaries. The depth of the indigo blue creates a space of wonder and mystery for the viewer— inviting one to disband structure and contemplate the unknown within.

Night: Telling a Nighttime Story in Bright Colors
The "Night" series consists of two paintings that represent the same identities in the same scenes at night and day. Here we see the artist's world depicted at night, but transposed with bright colour and blue subjectivity.
In Night (session 1) is describing any other evening. It is still not at ease, and the bright green and glowing blue bring to life the night experience. It is not depicting sleep, but the quiet intensity of fleeting thoughts bouncing through late night.
Through stark contrast and bold colouration, the work begs the viewer to see the familiar alternative, and reminds them that the surroundings shift as day turns into night.

Anxious Days: Finding a Calm place to deal with the chaos
In Anxious Days, Harrington focused inwardly, producing a colour filled cartoon version of the emotional barrage of modern times.
Anxious Days explores and extends Harrington's art theme out of his personal anxieties. This artist has begun to address everything happening at once in a playful manual cartoons that reminds you, life shouldn't be taken seriously.
Harrington's work reminds us that when life is coming at us all at once, we don't have to control it all. Some days humor is the best way to alleviate anxiety.

Time to Stay Mello: What the Artistic Philosophy of the design?
"Time to Stay Mello", is more of an idea ,rather than a campaign .This philosophy is what brought the artists together Laarvee and Harrington together. Time is not a race, it is to flow mellow. The new PEA001 captures mellow in its curved geometry, and hypnotic symmetry.
The muted tones and swirling designs are aimed at a mindful three-dimensional experience. The automatic movement watch inside shows this rhythm call at work when the watch winds itself and run sedately when you pick up, stop or pause any other time of daily life.
This watch is for the slow, but wandering thinker. Not a distracted, rushed digital digital existence but a considered, spiritual existence. The new PEA001 is a reflection of intention v status in the world of fancy men's watches, stylish men's watches with a soul.
